Tarot Card of the Day – July 14, 2009

Published by Raevyn under Reading of the Day on July 13, 2009

Today I pulled a card from the Faeries’ Oracle: Art by Brian Froud and Book by Jessica MacBeth. The card chosen was Tobaira of the Waters.

Keywords: Emotions. Serenity. Meditation. Gracefully accepting change.

We have a choice in how we meet the changes in our lives. Do we meet it head on with acceptance and calm or do we try to black it and end up stressed and dealing with the negativity it causes?

Remember you have the choice and how you make it determines how you live your life.

The only constant in life is love, especially self-love. The healing faeries are there to help remind us of the reasons to love ourselves, but we have to ask.

Love yourself! Accept change with grace! Let the Faeries guide you!

Tarot Card of the Day – July 13, 2009

Today I pulled a card from Amy Brown’s Faery Wisdom Deck. The card chosen was Devotion.

This card speaks to embracing Spirit’s devotion to you. Before complete devotion can be achieved, you must forgive completely. Forgiveness need to be unconditional and for yourself, as well as others. Seek not to change, but to accept fully. Honor each person for who they are and the reflection of the divine within them.

Let fear drift away as you put your trust in Spirit to guide you. Remember that you are filled with Spirit and you are worthy of love.

The Chant for Devotion…

I give thanks for the unconditional love which runs through every cell of my being.
I give thanks that I am a conduit from which this energy flows.
I give thanks for the God within each and every being on Earth.
And I give thanks for the recognition of this.
I allow Spirit to work its mysteries through me.
I am devoted to Spirit and to myself…
and am now able to give to another fully,
as I am in the crystal white stream of God light,
which is never ending.
So be it!

Affect or Effect?

This site Common Errors in English tells you which one you are supposed to use. It also has common phrases that have been spoken incorrectly, the true phrase, and the origin of it. For example, instead of saying Medieval Ages, we should say Middle Ages. The “eval” of “Medieval” means “age” so by saying “Medieval Ages” you are saying “Middle Ages Ages.”
